It is a capable cloud nester with a genuine international footprint. Use Lapas if you want to try it on your real DXF files before paying anything. Lapas has a free plan with no card and no expiry; MyNesting's cheapest recurring plan is $49 a month and its trial asks for a card up front. On the paid tier the headline prices match at $49, so the question is mostly what happens before you pay.

Where MyNesting genuinely wins
Worth saying plainly, because most comparison pages will not.
- The parts library
If you cut the same brackets every month, storing them as reusable parts and pulling them into a new nest is genuinely faster than re-uploading. Lapas keeps project history on Pro, which is not the same thing.
- Team accounts
The Business tier is built for more than one person working in the same account. Lapas has no team feature at all right now.
- The day pass
Twenty-five dollars for 24 hours with no card and no subscription is an honest answer to "I have one big job this week". Nothing in the Lapas pricing does that.
- Reach
A long-established reseller and support network across a lot of countries. Lapas is a small operation in Lithuania and does not pretend otherwise.
How the nesting itself compares
MyNesting is closed source and cloud-only, so it cannot be run headless against a fixed set of instances and there is no honest measured comparison to show you. What we can show is the engine measured against something reproducible: Lapas Core v1.1 against deepnest-next v1.5.6 over 37 cases, scored independently. Treat it as evidence about the Lapas engine, not as a claim about MyNesting.
Every number is recomputed from the output geometry by a scorer that is not part of either engine, and the raw JSON and CSV are published under CC BY 4.0 so you can check them or rerun the cases yourself. The ties are in there on purpose.
